On Sunday 9th November 2025, the local village community gathered to mark Remembrance Day, and Sonia carried out her official duties as the Town Crier with pride and honour.
She described how moving it was to see the servicemen who have protected the country and served His Majesty King Charles III. The occasion reminded her of how fortunate we are to enjoy the freedoms we have today, and how important it is never to take them for granted.
Sonia takes her role very seriously and approaches it with humility and gratitude. She expressed how meaningful it is to be part of a tradition so closely linked with the British Legion, especially as it brings together people of all ages.
